Every year we choose a charity to fund raise for and the C.R.Y charity was the choice for 2017.
Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) was formed in 1995 and works to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). CRY supports young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offers bereavement support to families affected by YSCD. CRY promotes and develops heart screening programmes and funds medical research. CRY publishes and distributes medical information written by leading cardiologists for the general public. CRY funds specialist referral, screening and cardiac pathology services at leading UK hospitals.
Helen Brashaw contributed £748 from the sale of Draw tickets for the Quilt she made, for which she was thanked, £150 was received in lieu of flowers from Joyce Lavender’s funeral.
In total we raised £2,247.70 and Jill Bonsall presented our cheque to the charity at our Christmas Keep Fit.
Well done Sheffield Keep Fit Members and friends and thank you for supporting our charities every year.
