  • The 2015 Keep Fit Association National Championships in exercise, movement and dance were held on the 9th and 10th of May at The Albert Hall in Nottingham.

Yorkshire Keep Fit Association were delighted this year that we had two of our teachers to support in the Movement and Dance Solo section on Saturday. This time there were sixteen entries in the section. Kay Dyas from Sheffield who was competing for the first time was in the first half with her performance ‘Visual Thoughts’. Yorkshire supporters included a sizeable group from Sheffield who had travelled that morning to support Kay and were all delighted that she was making her championship debut in the solo section. Well done Kay.

After her win of this section in 2013 we were thrilled to see Christine Tingle come back for 2015. She was drawn number fifteen of the sixteen entries so the Yorkshire contingency had to patiently wait – she performed ‘Bitter Sweet’ and encaptured us all again.
When it came to the end of the competition for the day and the results were announced Yorkshire supporters were ecstatic as Christine was announced the winner. Janice Moore, Keep Fit Association President, presented Christine with the Janice Moore trophy to loud applause and plenty of cheering from Yorkshire spectators. When Christine performed again we were moved and inspired!
Congratulations Christine – well done on coming back and taking the title again.
