  • Victoria Hall, Saltaire was the prestigious setting for a very special evening of Fitness, Movement and Dance, on Friday 10 May 2013. This year Bradford Branch KFA celebrates its 50 anniversary, which is a huge achievement.

It’s success is due to the commitment, enthusiasm and hard work of its teachers and members, many of whom attended the event and continue to volunteer and support the Keep Fit Association.

The evening was a wonderful mix of dance and exercise. The Bradford teachers performed with their classes. Guest appearances from North Wind Tribal Belly Dance, The Ukrainian junior and senior dance teams and students from the Christine Tingle School of Dance in Wakefield. Our neighbouring branches from Huddersfield, Halifax and Leeds brought a cheeky Charleston and a graceful trio.

We were also pleased to welcome Christine Tingle, who gave us a second chance to enjoy her winning solo performance “Eternity”.

The interval refreshments were Bucks Fizz and anniversary cake!

The aim of our festival that we hold every year is to bring communities together, make friends, have fun, be healthy and also try to raise money for special causes. This year we are raising money for the Meningitis Trust as it has affected many of our friends and families.
Thank you to everyone who performed, organised and supported the event. It was a tremendous evening.
