Our revised format AGM proved a great success this year. With fewer demonstrations to condense the event into an afternoon.
We started with our Annual General Meeting and then had a short time to visit the various stalls and buy our raffle tickets before joining together in the main hall for a vigorous rally with Kathie Lynch – more than a warm up.
After this, we settled down to two class demonstrations and a performance by the Leics/Northants County team.
Lisa Bigley’s item comprised members from two of her classes – who learned the routine separately and came together only the day before for the first time. Many had not performed before but they overcame any nerves they may have had and did Lisa proud.
Diana Bigley’s class item was performed by a small band from her Monday night class who did more than justice to movements learned in class but choreographed to include varying tempos and relationships.
We were then treated to a second performance of Diana’s County Team item, ‘Contrasts’ which was first performed at our National AGM last October.
