On Saturday 2nd March Manchester & District Keep Fit Association held their A.G.M. at the Longfield Suite in Prestwich.
Rallies were taken by Sandra McPeake, Susan Traynor, Lin Mills and Alma Cooper. There were class demonstrations and performances from the Manchester team produced by Lin Mills and the North West Festival team produced by Sandra McPeake.
The chosen charity for the year was North West Air Ambulance, who receive no government funding and do sterling work in our area. We were proud to present a cheque for £2,163.46 to their representative Liz Greenwood. This had been collected through raffles, cake sales, book sales and regular 5p donations.
The day was well attended and the atmosphere electric and everybody agreed the day was a resounding success.
