Local class members in the Fylde pay tribute to their friend June
” Our Friend June ”
It is with sadness and with joy that I write this piece .
The sadness relates to the sudden passing of our long standing class member June Tasker on Saturday 28th August and the joy of knowing such a lovely lady for more than 30 years !
June is centre in the photo.
In the words of her keep fit friends June was a loyal, genuine and very supportive class member who quietly got on with everything and everyone. Reaching the age of 81 years June took part in many class demonstrations, Fylde teams and performed at the Albert Hall over her years with us, showing encouragement and positivity towards her team members.
June loved her weekends away with us and we had many meals out together telling funny stories of what we had all got up to over the years !
These memories we will treasure and June’s happy sense of humour will be very much missed in class and on every occasion we spend together.
